Rules for Stage Events
• All participating team members should be bona fide college students and must belong
to the same institution to represent the institution.
• All the members participating in these events should carry their respective valid institution’s
ID cards for registration.
• All teams participating in group events must report to the venue two hours prior to the event.
• Please note that all group events with a participation of less than 4 teams will be cancelled.
• Judges’ decision are final.
Dance (Duet)
• There will be 2 rounds in this event: the duo will have to perform a prepared
routine of maximum 3 minutes in the first round. The second round will be an
impromptu or adaptune round, where the duo will have to sync their moves
with any song that is played.
• Two boys, two girls, or one boy-one girl can participate as a pair.
• Any genre of music or dance form is accepted.
• Vulgarity of any kind (with respect to dance moves, costumes, etc.) will not be
entertained, and will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Props are allowed provided they are not inflammable, dangerous or heavy in nature.
• Judges’ decision is final.
• Date: February 08 | Time: 2 pm
• Venue: Birds Park.
Indian Classical Dance (Solo):
• Time: 5 + 1 minutes on stage.
• Multiple participants are allowed from a participating institution.
• Only authentic classical music/song to be used.
• Classical costume is a must.
• Date: February 08 | Time: 11:30 am
• Venue: Campus View, Central Block.
Spot-step Dance
• Multiple participants are allowed from a participating institution.
• Participants will be dancing for a 2-minute song which will be given to them on
the spot.
• There will be three rounds - prelims, prop and finals.
• There will be elimination after every round.
• Any act of vulgarity in terms of movements or costumes will lead to immediate
disqualification.
• Judges’ decision is final.
• Date: February 08 | Time: 12 pm to 2 pm
• Venue: Birds Park.
Western Acapella (Group)
• Team size: 4 to 8 members (including a Beat Boxer), beat boxer is compulsory.
• Time limit: 12+3 min (including the set up and clearance time).
• A copy of the lyrics of an own composition, in English, must be submitted
at the time of registration on campus.
• Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
• Any pre-recorded music/sound or sequenced samples are not allowed.
• Individual prizes for Best Vocalist, Best Beat boxer, Best own composition.
• Date: February 07 | Time: 12 Noon
• Venue: KE Auditorium , Block IV
Indian Music (Group)
• Team Size: 5 to 10 members.
• Time limit: 12+3 min (including the set up and clearance time).
• In case of failure to adhere to allotted time limit, points will be deducted
• All participating band members should be bona fide college students and must
belong to the same college (College ID must).
• A copy of lyrics must be submitted if the performance includes an original
composition of the band. Apart from this, the band can perform up to 2 or 3
songs within the allotted time limit only.
• In case of lyrics in any Indian language other than Hindi, a copy of the literal
translation of the lyrics in English must be submitted at the time of registration
on campus.
• Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
• Growling is NOT allowed.
• Performances should be in Indian languages only.
• Any pre-recorded music/sound or sequenced samples are not allowed.
• Bands MUST contain at least one Indian Instrumentalist and at least
one Vocalist.
• A standard 5 piece drum kit, a keyboard stand, stage monitors, Amplifiers and
microphones will be provided on stage.
• No member participating in one band will be allowed to play with any other
band competing in In-Bloom for this event.
• Failure to adhere to the given rules of this event will result in disqualification.
• Date: February 07 | Time: 12 Noon
• Venue: New Basketball Court
Western Electric (Group)
• Team Size: 4 to 8 members.
• Time Limit: 12+3 minutes (including the setup and clearance time).
• In case of failure to adhere to allotted time limit, points will be deducted.
• A copy of lyrics must be submitted if the performance includes an original
composition of the band. Apart from this, the band can perform up to 2 or 3
songs within the allotted time limit only..
• Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
• Growling is NOT allowed.
• Accepted genres include (but are not limited to): Rock, Jazz, Blues, Folk,
Fusion, Post rock, Funk.
• A standard 5 piece drum kit, a keyboard stand, stage monitors, Amplifiers
and microphones will be provided on stage.
• Any pre-recorded music/sound or sequenced samples are not allowed..
• Failure to adhere to the given rules of this event will result in disqualification.
• Individual prizes for Best Vocalist, Best Beat boxer, Best Bassist, Best Rhythm Guitarist, Best Lead Guitarist, Best Drummer, Best own composition.
• Date: February 08 | Time: 4 pm
• Venue: New Basketball Court.
Indian Solo Singing
• One Vocalist with a single accompanist ONLY allowed.
• Multiple entries allowed from the participating institution.
• Time Limit: 2+1 minutes.
• Performances should be in Indian languages only.
• Any pre-recorded music/ sound or Sequenced samples are not allowed.
• Indian Classical backing tracks are not allowed.
• In case of lyrics in any Indian language other than Hindi, a copy of the literal
translation of the lyrics in English must be submitted at the time of
registration on campus.
• Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
• Accompanist (Only one) may use keyboard allowed in Piano mode only,
Plug-in Acoustic guitar, shruti Box or one Indian percussion instrument only
such as a Tabla or Mridangam are allowed.
• Failure to adhere to the given rules of this event will result in disqualification.
• Prelims and Finals will be held on the same day.

Western Solo Singing
• One Vocalist with a single accompanist ONLY allowed.
• Western or Western Classical vocals ONLY allowed.
• Multiple entries allowed from the participating institution.
• Time Limit: 2+1 minutes.
• Performances should be in English only.
• Any pre-recorded music/sound or sequenced samples are not allowed.
• A copy of the lyrics of an own composition, in English, must be submitted at \
the time of registration on campus.
• Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
• Accompanist (Only one) may use keyboard allowed in Piano mode only,
Plug-in Acoustic guitar are allowed.
• Failure to adhere to the given rules of this event will result in disqualification.
• Prelims and Finals will be held on the same day.

• Venue: Panel Room, Block ||
Indian Classical Singing Solo
• Time Limit: 2+1 minutes.
• Multiple entries allowed from the participating institution.
• Only Hindustani and Carnatic Vocals allowed.
• Performances should be in Indian languages only.
• Strictly NO film/folk music allowed.
• Any pre-recorded music/ sound or Sequenced samples are not allowed.
• Backing tracks are not allowed.
• Shruti Box and Indian percussion instruments only such as a Tabla
are allowed.
• Prelims and Finals will be conducted on the same day.
• Date: February 07 | Time: 12 Noon
• Venue: Assembly Hall, Block ||.
Western Acoustic ( Group)
• Team size 4 to 8 members.
• Time limit 10+2 min (including the setup and clearance time).
• Accompanist (only one ) can use the keyboard allowed in Piano mode, plug-in Acoustic guitar or Acoustic in Piano mode, Plug-in Acoustic guitar or Acoustic Percussion instrument like Djembe or Cajon.
• A copy of the lyrics of an own composition, in English, must be submitted at the time of registration at the venue.
• Lyrics will be checked for vulgarity and profanity.
• Any pre-recorded music/ sound or Sequenced samples are not allowed.
• Individual Prizes for best vocalist, Best Original Composition, Best Beat boxer.
• Date: February 07 | Time: 10 am
• Venue: KE Auditorium , Block IV
Mime (Group)
• Teams of 5-8 members.
• There should be no speech in the entire performance.
• Time limit is 7+1 minutes.
• Maximum of 4 teams per institution.
• One musical instrument may be used. Keyboard if used,
can be in piano or acoustic mode.
• No vulgarity or obscenity in actions or costume will be entertained.
• Recorded music track can be used.
• One Person must be in-charge of the sound apart from the team members.
• Date: February 08 | Time: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
